The Ancient Crater is live. It's a huge impact basin ringed by shattered stone, and the glassed-over floor still hasn't cooled off.
Rock and Ground types own the slopes. Get down into the lower terraces and you'll start running into things that don't spawn anywhere else on the map. Watch your footing.
